Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Footy26, operated by Lilico LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with its principal place of business in California (“Footy26,” “we,” or “us”). By signing in to or otherwise using Footy26 you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Footy26 is

Footy26 is a free, browser-based bracket prediction game for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. You sign in with Google, predict the outcome of every match in the tournament, and compete against your friends in private leagues. Footy26 is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with FIFA, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, any national football association, or any World Cup match organizer. The official FIFA site is fifa.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Footy26. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Footy26 only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your account

You sign in to Footy26 with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your Google credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your Footy26 account. If you suspect unauthorized use, change your Google password and email eric@lilicollc.com. Use of Footy26 is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

4. Acceptable use

While using Footy26, you agree not to:

• use a display name, league name, or any other content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, defamatory, or that impersonates another person,
• attempt to scrape, mass-download, reverse-engineer, or reload-the-API at a rate designed to disrupt the service,
• attempt to interfere with the security of Footy26 or with other users’ accounts, picks, or leagues,
• use Footy26 to run an off-platform betting pool, gambling operation, or paid-to-enter contest. Footy26 itself is free and contains no real-money prizes.

We may remove user-supplied content, suspend an account, or terminate access at any time and without notice if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

5. User content

Your picks, league names, custom display name, and similar inputs are “User Content.” You retain whatever rights you have in your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Footy26 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your User Content within the service for the purpose of operating Footy26 (e.g. showing your picks to your leaguemates, generating your share card, scoring the leaderboard).

6. Tips

Footy26 is free to play. You can optionally send a one-time voluntary tip to support the project, processed by Stripe, Inc. Tips are voluntary, are not refundable, and do not entitle you to any product or service beyond a thank-you on the site. Footy26 does not currently sell any product, service, or subscription.

7. No gambling, no real-money prizes

Footy26 is a free bracket prediction game played for entertainment purposes. There is no entry fee, no prize pool, and no real-money payout to participants. Footy26 is not a sportsbook, fantasy sports operator, or gambling service. Tips are voluntary donations to the operator and are unrelated to your standing in any league.

8. Footy26’s intellectual property

The Footy26 name, logo, design, copy, code, and other materials we create are owned by Lilico LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of Footy26 except as expressly permitted by these Terms. All World Cup, FIFA, country, and tournament marks referenced inside Footy26 belong to their respective owners and are used here for descriptive identification only.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

FOOTY26 IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that Footy26 will be uninterrupted, that match results displayed will be free of error, or that the leaderboard will reflect any official tournament outcome. Match results are sourced from third-party feeds and may be delayed, corrected, or restated.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL FOOTY26, LILICO LLC, OR ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF FOOTY26. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO FOOTY26 WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lilico LLC and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or damage, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or rights of a third party.

12. Termination

You may stop using Footy26 at any time by deleting your account from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability) will survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Lilico LLC agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Footy26 will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. You may also bring qualifying claims in small-claims court if eligible. We each waive any right to a jury trial. We each agree that any claim must be brought in your or our individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date and, where the change is significant, surface a notice in the app the next time you sign in. Your continued use of Footy26 after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
